First Blog

Hello everyone who can bothered to look at this. I just wanted to welcome you to my site and fill it up a bit more so it looks like I do have things to say. I'm currently avoiding my essay due in for next Monday, I've doen loads of research on it and am stuck. So I'm going to talk to my lecturer tomorrow. It's on ethnic humour and ridicule maybe when it's done I'll write some stuff up about it because humour and ethnicity in themselves are interesting topics, ones I wish to pursue further in my free time. Some of the literature is fascininating and when you'e a thinker can let soem of the balls drop sometimes so I can concentrate on other things. Like planning what I'm ordering from the Indian tonight, I might go a Vegetable Pathia.

I'm a student in my last year at Uni in Wales. I'm studying Anthropology, which is the study of humans. My course focuses on the cultures of people, which is fascinating if you like learning about other people. I am in the middle of doing my dissertation, which invloves me completing some minor fieldwork with a group of people and writing up what I have observed. Some people may find this intrusive but I assure you it follows ethical guidelines to protect informants, and provide a view of one group of peoples lives. Unlike sociology it does not take information and then apply it to the whole of society.
My dissertation, though not being religious myself, is focusing on a small Hindu family that I am aquainted with and learning about their beliefs and attitudes towards food and animals. Since this is an interest I may pursue discussions about it later on.

Thank you listening to my rambling, I'll get back to you.

Have a nice Day!
